Ashford Landing Celebrates its Grand Opening!

June 25th marked the official opening of the Ashford Landing home for independent seniors, located on the site of the former Johnson Ferry East public housing project near Ashford Dunwoody and Johnson Ferry roads in Dekalb County. Ashford Landing is the second of a multi-phase development of a new mixed-use community, Brookleigh.

The 117-unit appartment development consists of one and two bedroom units for seniors 62 years and older. The units are priced to be affordable to lower-income seniors. The apartments are owned by the Housing Authority of DeKalb County and are being designed and constructed by its development partners the Norsouth Companies and the Collaborative Firm.

Brookleigh, a mixed-use, mixed income community, will be completed in 2012 and will feature, in addition to the Ashford Landing apartments, a retail village designed by Madison Retail, LLC., luxury mid-rise apartments and high-end single family homes and condominiums.
