Decatur's Renewal Design-Build was granted the award for Best Kitchen Remodel in the $75,000-$100,000 category of the fifteenth annual Chrysalis Awards for Remodeling Excellence on June 5th. The Chysalis Awards are judged by the writers and editors of Better Homes and Gardens, Woman's Day, Southern Living, and Houseplans.com and recognize the nation's best work in residential remodeling by considering creative use of space and materials, overall design, and the degree to which the project enhanced the original structure.\

Renewal's award-winning design expanded the homeowner's kitchen to include an island and built-in dining table. The updated and modernized kitchen still managed to remain in keeping with the home's original cottage style.
